The fight – norman mailer. Another great book, I’ve been pretty lucky recently on that front. Not read any Mailer before, and not into fighting at all so strange choice to pick up. The atmosphere Mailer conveys of the Ali/Foreman fight as an insider to Ali’s camp is wonderful. You really get a sense of how the fighters prepare themselves mentally and physically for beating the crap out of each other. Poetic and violent at the same time.
