Stop. Hammer time.

Another weird and wonderful improv piece from New York. I probably would have started giggling, but maybe that's in the out-take reel. Wonder if this would have worked better with a more Spencer Tunick approach...

Facing the Music

1/24/2008 10:13:00 PM

For those of you who like the surreal - check out the 'SleeveFace' group on flickr. They take photos of themselves and their friends with album covers with faces in front of their own faces. Very funny. [Thanks to BoingBoing]

Bill Gates can be Funny Shock

1/14/2008 12:59:00 AM

For this year's CES Bill Gates and some other slightly less famous folks* put together a faux "Bill Gates' Last Day at Microsoft" video. What's amazing about this is that Bill Gates actually comes across as pretty funny, and I have to admit that I never thought I'd enjoy a Microsoft video direct from source - but it's good to be proved wrong. Nice job, Bill!

* Some of those less famous folks; Matthew McConaughey, Bono, Jay Z, Al Gore, Hilary Clinton, George Clooney, Steven Spielberg and Jon Stewart. I guess it's great to have celeb friends and a few billion dollars spare.

David Cross in Mr Show(alter)

8/06/2007 05:36:00 PM

I love David Cross. And I love David Showalter. If they had a kid he'd be called David Crossalter. Or maybe David Shoss. Even if it was a girl.

John Cleese, an 80s Portable Computer and a Fish...

6/22/2007 05:50:00 PM

This advert is beautiful. John Cleese compares a Compaq 'portable' computer from the 80s, with a fish. Spoiler: They both weight 22lbs, but that's the only similarity. Either way that's four times the weight of my MacBook Pro.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

4/01/2007 02:50:00 PM

Yep, April Fools Day. A day filled with joy, laughter, bad jokes and Google's new releases.

This year Google have developed at least two new services to celebrate the festivities; first up from the Google home page you can apply for their new TiSP internet service, a revolutionary service that routes inexpensive broadband to you directly through the sewer system. The genius of this idea is that every house in America, if not the world, already has an access point... your toilet.

Next up we have Google Paper. Found on the home page of Google Mail, this service offers you a free way to get paper backups of all your Gmail. Amazing! But how does Google offer this free, including printing and delivery? Simple. Adverts. Each piece of paper you receive will have a large advert printed on the back. Whatever will they think of next...

Consenting Adults

12/02/2006 06:24:00 PM

This video about consent forms is hilarious - and probably an accurate representation of what they would involve (from the ever consentual boing boing)
